Miesa Murphy Photography bio picture

I am Miesa Murphy, a custom portrait photographer based in Houston, TX.  This blog is where I will share my ramblings as well as my current work.  When I'm not out on a shoot I am editing or chasing my two little kids around.  Feel free to laugh with me because I truly believe that laughter is what keeps me sane.  Kick your feet up and stay a while, don't be shy, drop me your thoughts or ask questions if you want....

Puppy needs a home {Spring Pet Photographer}

Well, I don’t normally take animal pics but I am up for anything!  My neighbor is looking to find this adorable princess a home.  If you are interested please contact me.  She is the last of a litter of four.  My neighbor’s rescued a dog not knowing she was preggo.  So, they had four mixed puppies to place.  This is the last one to find a home.  She is a chiwawa/pomeranian mix I believe.  I will confirm the details for all of you.  Just look at how sweet she is!!!!

Sister love! {Memorial Family Photographer}

Does it really get any better than watching two little girls share the love while their parents dote on them?  These girls were loving life and I must admit I fell for both of them.  I think it was Lauren’s love of lipgloss that stole my heart.  I guess I just love that toddler phase…  See what you think…  ;)

How can you not just love these girls???

Stunning Senior! {Magnolia Senior Portrait Photographer}

I had the pleasure of working with a stunning senior today.  It is crazy to think this is her last year of high school and she has a whole big world waiting for her.  She was so fun to work with!  Thank you Jordan for spending some time in front of my lens.

Watch out world this girl is headed your way!!!  ;)

…you don’t HAVE to use our bunnies…

Just a little eye candy to show you all how cute things can be WITHOUT our adorable little bunnies….

Boys will be boys {Champions Portrait Photographer}

I was feeling guilty since I have not posted any photos of my seven year old son.  Today I decided it was his turn.  He was not excited about being in front of the camera.  I had to bribe that boy to give me ten minutes of his time.  How busy can a seven year old be you ask?  Apparently too busy for my camera and I to take a couple of shots.  Well, you will at least get to see my son.  The first one is a canned smile to get rid of me and the second one is his “normal” pout.

All together at last! {River Oaks Photographer}

Okay, I almost didn’t take this session.  I had a cancellation and was able to fit them in just before Christmas!  Nine people and four dogs.  You heard me right.  It was a large group but we had a great time together!  Thank you for picking me to do your portraits!

daughters… {Houston children’s photographer}

Today is one of those days where I actually put work aside and took a couple of photos of my own daughter.  Sophia is four and growing up way to fast as far as I am concerned.  Moments like today I look at her and wonder where the baby fat has gone.  Where are those lovable fat rolls I remember?  Where did this girl come from?  She is all about fashion and posing and the canned smile at four.  My son wants nothing to do with being in front of the camera.  He is seven and likes taking photos but not having his photo taken.  I guess he is like me in that way.  I am always happier behind the camera capturing those fleeting moments.  Anyway….  Here are some photos of Sophia in all her four year old glory.

Doll? {Houston portrait photographer}

Okay, I am not sure if she is real or a doll….  Oh wait, it became really clear when she started to

D A N C E!!!!!!  It is hard to believe that Nevy just turned a year old.  She is cute and spunky.  This girl has the whole package and I think her big brothers and parents are going to have to watch out for this little princess!

Wonderful New Clients {Houston Family Portrait Photographer}

I met a wonderful new family this week!  Their 9 month old was so cute and a natural in front of the camera.   You could see the love in this family.  Enjoy some eye candy for the holidays.  *grin*
